President’s Comments
Mark Weiss reported that more club members are encouraged to make it to the meetings and he would like to have programs after the meetings such as building techniques, etc. There will be a choice of prizes for the raffle winner. We will do this
every month so that we have something for everyone. Each of the two items will be in the $100 "street price" range.
Also, there he talked about having a new club event, and he would like to have suggestions for it.
Member Suggestion
Kent Eagle discussed a fundraiser/silent auction for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. He thinks that it would be a good idea to have the club donate a ready-to-fly radio control airplane and membership to the club to let people know that we’re out there.
WRAM Show
Jay Green reported that 12 seats have been sold for the WRAM show bus trip, and needs at least 35 people to go to make this trip work.
Freeze Fly
The Freeze fly will be held on January 1st, rain, shine, wind, or snow.
Safety Minute
Not presented this month.
Show and Tell
Gene Bass brought a Direct Connection Hawker Sea Furry. It has a 64-inch wingspan and will be powered by a Super Tiger .90 engine. Gene reported that it went together well and he is looking for suggestions for putting the cowl on.
John Stare brought a Flying Machine that is powered by a Jett .40 with a 10x6 prop
Mark Weiss brought a Model Tech Magic ARF that is powered by a Thunder Tiger .46. He also brought a China Models Giles 3D ARF, which is powered by an O.S. .46 engine.
Quickie 500 Racing:
Skip Crain wanted to know who wants to quickie race this coming year to find out if another season of racing is possible, because racers are needed.
Raffle
The raffle prize was a Model Tech Magic ARF and was won by Joe Zappo
Adjournment
The meeting was adjourned at 8:33PM.
Respectfully Submitted,
Ryan Jamison, Secretary.
