Thank you for your interest in 'Warbirds
Over Delaware'.
'Warbirds Over Delaware' event runs from Thursday through Sunday.
The pilots start to arrive and setup their displays and RV's
starting on Thursday and into Friday. Saturday will be our big day
for spectators. This will be the day that all of the pilots will be
in attendance.
The event wraps up early Sunday afternoon but a majority of the
pilots leave Sunday morning.

Delaware R/C Club's
Flying Site is located in Lum's Pond State Park, Kirkwood
Delaware.
From I-95 in Delaware take Exit 1 to RT-896 South, go 6.2 miles
to RT-71, make a left.
Flying Site is 1/3 mile on left.

Parking
The event is free to attend, however the State Park does require a
daily or annual parking permit for vehicles: Daily parking:
$3.00/day for Delaware registered vehicles or $6.00/day for
out-of-state registered vehicles.
Spectator parking will be permitted (daily or annual park permits
apply) at the Flying Site (subject to availability) on Thursday,
Friday and Sunday.
Spectators will be required to park
at the Campground on Saturday. Buses will be available starting at
8:30 AM until 4:30 PM to transport spectators from the campground to
the flying site on Saturday only.
Handicap parking is available at the
flying site each day. Handicap vehicle permits are required.
Lums Pond State Park offers
camping
facilities at their campground.
Overnight camping (self contained campers only) is available at the
Flying Site for pilots and vendors.

Food
Food (hamburgers, hotdogs, soda, water, etc) will be served by the
Troop 30 Boy Scouts starting on Friday around noon.
Pit Passes
Pit passes will be available for purchase for $10.00 per person. Pit
passes will allow
non-event participants to walk through the pit areas to get a close
up view of the scale warbird aircraft and speak to the pilots.
Pit passes for children are free but children must be accompanied by
an adult.
