Warbirds Over Delaware

Thank you for your interest in Warbirds Over Delaware.

Warbirds Over Delaware runs from Wednesday through Saturday, July 7 - 10, 2021. The pilots start to arrive and setup their displays and RV's starting on Wednesday. Friday and Saturday are our big days for spectators. On these days, most of the pilots will be in attendance. Sunday is a transistion day where most of the pilots and vendors have packed up and left the event. We do not recommend Sunday for spectators.

IMPORTANT! We are currently working with the State and Delaware Department of Public Health to obtain permits to allow us to host a Warbirds Over Delaware event this year from July 7 - 10, 2021. Delaware Department of Health and Covid CDC Guidelines will be enforced per details provided here. Face Coverings and Social Distancing are mandatory, at all times.

At this time, we are restricted to a maximum of 250 persons at the Flying Field at any given time. We are working for an exemption and this will be updated when/if we get approval. Hand Sanitizing Stations will be placed around the spectator and pavilion areas.

All parking, subject to availability, including Spectator Parking will be at the R/C Flying Field. There will be no Spectator Parking at the Park Campground, or busing to/from the R/C Flying Field, this year.

In addition to Covid restrictions, we are subject to Temporary Flight Restrictions due to VIP travel in the area. We are hoping that this will not affect our Warbirds Over Delaware events. We will post updates as needed.

There is no formal schedule of events, with the exception of "Half Time" shows on Friday and Saturday starting around 12:00 Noon. During the Half Time show, special aerial fly-by's, grouped by historical time periods, are performed. Starting with a sky filled with WWI aircraft, then WWII fighters and bombers, to modern day turbine jet fighters.

Spectator Parking for Warbirds Over Delaware 2021 will be at the R/C Flying Field only. There will be no spectator parking or busing from the Park Campground. Parking will be subject to availability.

Vehicles with a valid Handicap Tag or Parking placard will be permitted to park at the R/C Flying Field each day. A drop-off area is available near the spectator areas.

Hot food will be sold by the Troop 30 Boy Scouts.

Pit passes will be available for purchase for $10.00 per person. Pit passes will allow non-event participants to walk through the pit areas to get a close up view of the scale warbird aircraft and speak to the pilots. Pit passes for children are free but children must be accompanied by an adult.
